The following awards will be given out during the Proteomic Forum 2022


Doctorate Prize of the DGPF

The German Society for Proteome Research will award a Doctorate Prize of an amount of 1,250 € to an outstanding dissertation in the field of proteomics which was finished during the last 2 years in Germany (since 1 January 2019). Here, the originality as well as the duration of work and a conceivably high degree of independency will be the basis for awarding the Promotion Prize. The suggested candidate does not necessarily need to be a member of the DGPF. Proposals of candidates for the Promotion Prize have to be submitted by their supervisors with a short letter of nomination (one A4 page max.) until 31 January 2022 to proteomic-forum@conventus.de

The proposal must be accompanied by a brief curriculum vitae of the candidate, the dissertation as a PDF document and a copy of the dissertation certificate (including the rating).

EuPA awards

The EuPA Awards Committee will be giving out the following awards during the Proteomic Forum 2022:

EuPA Vision and Commitment Award (VACA)EuPA intends to honour an early career researcher (ECR) for his/her remarkable networking of young European scientists in Proteomics initiatives.
EuPA Bioinformatics For Mass Spectrometry Award (BMSA)EuPA intends to honour an ECR for his/her outstanding contribution to Bioinformatics developments for mass spectrometry.
EuPA Best Doctoral Thesis AwardEuPA intends to honour a person who presented an outstanding PhD thesis in any field of proteomics in 2020 or 2021.

EuPA Breakthrough in Proteomics AwardAwarded for a breakthrough in proteomics, a discovery that transformed the knowledge frontier and has a major impact on science, technology and society.

EuPA Technology AwardAwarded to one private company for outstanding contribution in commercialization of a new proteomics technology.

EuPA intends to honour a person with a leading and long-standing involvement in the promotion of the principles of sharing and integration of resources for the development of excellent research in the Proteomics field. Therefore, EuPA is looking for a candidate who has made longstanding contributions to EuPA, and thus has been integral to the success of its mission. In addition, this is a scientist or technologist who has demonstrated a deep interest in sharing resources and has achieved significant contributions to the EuPA organization. 

EuPA National Societies will be invited to nominate candidates. Only ONE (1) candidate may be nominated by each EuPA Member Society and this candidate must be from a FOREIGN Society.

The EuPA Poster Prizes consist of travel grants which can be used either for the HUPO 2022 confernece organised in Cancun, Mexico, or EuPA2023 conference organised in Newcastle, UK.

Poster Prizes

All posters can compete for an award at the Proteomic Forum 2022. The evaluation will take place on site by an independent committee. Poster prize candidates will be informed about the status of their poster on site and are kindly asked to attend the closing ceremony on Thursday 7 April 2022.
